Not every update is a new button. Some of the best ones are the things you stop noticing: a page that is already there when you look at it, a payment that goes through with the method you always use, a generation that simply arrives. Here is what has landed recently.
Everything opens faster
Chat, browsing and the companion pages all load noticeably quicker now. We went through the slowest paths one by one and removed the waiting that had crept in: pages that were being rebuilt on every single visit, lists that took seconds to hand back a few lines of text, and a handful of checks that ran before anything appeared on screen even though nothing depended on them.
The effect is biggest exactly where it matters most. Opening a chat used to have a pause in it, a moment where you knew something was happening but could not do anything yet. That pause is largely gone, and the first message is ready far sooner after you tap a companion.
Pay in euros, with the methods you already use
If you are in the eurozone, checkout now runs in euros instead of converting your payment into another currency first. That sounds like a detail, but it was the reason the familiar local payment options often refused to show up at all: they only appear when the amount is actually in your own currency.
So the payment screen should now look like every other one you use, with the methods you expect, in the currency you expect, and no conversion in between. Prices elsewhere in the world are unchanged.
Steadier image and video generation
Generation has been made more reliable rather than only faster. Requests that used to hit a timeout when the queue was busy now finish properly in the background instead of failing on you, and anime and realistic companions are kept to their own lanes so a busy moment for one style no longer slows the other down.
We also moved our own bulk work off the same capacity you use. Preparing previews and new companion artwork used to share the queue with real requests, which meant our housekeeping could quietly become your waiting time. It runs separately now.
Your language, from the first screen
Chatting in your own language has been possible for a while. What changed is that you no longer have to find it: you can pick your language right at the start, and if you arrived on a page in your language, you stay in it when you open a companion instead of being dropped back into English.
It is a small thing that removes a small irritation, which is roughly the theme of this whole release.
What we are working on next
More of the same, honestly. The speed work is not finished, and there are a few paths left that are slower than they should be. We would rather keep shaving those down than add features on top of a slow foundation.
If something feels slow, breaks, or just annoys you, tell us. A surprising number of the fixes above started as a single message from someone who could not be bothered to put up with it, and we would much rather hear it than not.
