Roleplay That Does Not Drop Character
Roleplay lives or dies on consistency. A scene works while the other side stays who they said they were, remembers what happened at the start, and does not answer a whispered line in a customer service voice. That last failure is the one most adult chat has.

Building a Scene That Holds
Cast it
Pick a companion whose personality sits close to the part, or write one from scratch and set appearance, temperament and the voice of her writing. Once a scene is running, the voice matters more than the look.
Write the opening properly
Give the first message a place, a relationship and a reason the two of you are there. Three sentences beats a one word prompt every time, because everything that follows is built on what you set up.
Move it forward
Introduce a complication, jump ahead a week, change the setting. Scenes go stale from repetition rather than from being too tame, and a companion will follow a change of direction if you actually make one.
Why Scenes Collapse
Usually one of three things. The opening was too thin to build on, the same beat got repeated until it stopped meaning anything, or the character was never given limits and so had nothing to push against.
